The Southern Karelia Cooperative Society Eekoo has taken the Nuuka building energy management system (BEMS) into use in its Prisma in Lappeenranta.
Eekoo is improving the energy efficiency of its properties, and it sought a suitable energy management system to support its activities.
Nuuka is used to monitor the property’s energy consumption and costs, including the achievement of any related targets. The system is used as an aid to identify potential areas of energy savings and to develop the use of the property’s automation to optimise consumption. In addition, Nuuka also supports the planning of longer term energy efficiency investments.
With regard to electrical power, the shares of lighting, ventilation, refrigeration and property electricity from two sections of building were all added to the system, as was property heat energy and water consumption monitoring. Hourly consumption data is updated in the system once per hour, meaning that it is constantly up to date and available.
Nuuka Solutions Oy’s delivery included the Nuuka system as a turnkey delivery as well as the necessary planning, energy metering devices and implementation.
